Nora Haigh grew up in Doylestown, Bucks
County Pa. and had an interest in art since childhood. Creative talent
runs
in her family. Although her degree is in business, art has always been
a calling. With the restrictions of working full time for a major pharmaceutical
company and the responsibilities of raising a family, the art career
was put on hold.
In 1996 she returned to her artistic inclinations and continued her
art education obtaining the necessary skills to refine her watercolor
technique. Instructors include Kass Morin Freeman, Chi Ebert, Howard
Watson and James McFarlane.
Her portfolio is comprised of watercolor
paintings of flowers and landscapes with some photography and collages.
Some describe her work
as ethereal. She likes a painting to speak to a person, capturing
and drawing them into the fantasy or reality.
Nora is a member of Doylestown
Art League, and Oreland Art League since 1996. She is also a member
of the Greater Norristown Art League.
Her paintings have been accepted in numerous juried shows. She also
displays her artwork at various business and gallery venues in the
Bucks and Montgomery county areas.
