Sharon is an award winning artist who has had a life long love of art and painting. Life circumstances led Sharon to choose a twenty eight year career in the military but she still made opportunities to study art and to paint. Sharon has studied art at various art schools including The Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, Fleisher Art Memorial, and Studio Incammanati and has studied Landscape Painting with Dot Bunn, and Beverly Garnett, and studied Portriture with Al Gury and Jim Himsworth III and taken Portrait Workshops with such well known artist as Roberta Carter Clark and Burton Silverman. She is a member and exhibits with the Philadelphia Sketch Club, The Plastic Club, Willingboro Art Alliance, Burlington County Art Guild, Artsbridge, the River Rats Plein Air Painters, The Doylestown Art League, the Delaware Valley Plein Air Painters, the Philadelphia Area Plein Air Aritsts and is also a member of the Artists Fellowship. Sharon also studies Icon Painting with the Prosopon School of Iconology under master Inconographer Vladislav Andrejev.
Sharon continues to paint En Plein Air. She is a visiting artist, teaching at Ravens Run Summer Art Camp in New Hope, Pennsylvania, and teaches childrens art classes. Sharon's Plein Air paintings are painted on site in Bucks County, the Philadelphia area, Burlington County, The Delaware River along the canal in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. She also paints while traveling on vacations to Hawaii, Japan, and Monhegan Island Maine. Her commission portraits, posthumous portraits and landscapes are in collections throughout the United States. She enters exhibits and juried shows and she currently exhibits at the Farnsworth Gallery in Bordentown and East Street Art in Columbus, both in New Jersey. Her paintings are on exhibit at The Centerbridge Inn, in New Hope Pennsylvania.
